For course producers

Online Courses is a national database of online courses at universities.

Who can add a course to the database?

University teachers, educational network liaisons, course co-ordinators, virtual university liaisons and study office staff can all add courses to the database without the need for user IDs.

What kinds of courses can be entered in the database?

The courses can be online courses, distance learning courses or classroom learning courses that are open to students from other universities. Courses added to the database must conform with university degree requirements.

Foreign universities can also add their courses to the database using this service. In this case, equivalencies, credit transfer principles and enrollment rights need to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

After entering a course in the database

Re-activating a course

After the course has ended, you will receive an automatic e-mail requesting you to either re-activate the course announcement by entering the teaching period for the next term, or to remove the course announcement from the database. If the course is not removed or rescheduled, the course information will be removed from sight, but will remain in the course archived, and can thus be re-activated at a later time.

The course can be activated by entering your e-mail address and the course-specific authentication code on the page headed Modify/remove course information. You will next see theModify course information page. You can re-activate the course by entering a future date in theCourse starts box. The Course archive also includes the link use as template.
