eLene Co-operation
The Finnish Virtual University is one of the partners of eLene group the origins of which can be traced back to the report Virtual models of European Universities carried
out in 2003 by the Danish consultancy firm PLS Ramboll for the European
Commission, DG Education and Culture, available on
www.elearningeuropa.info.
These institutions, the majority of
whom were case studies for the above report, have since submitted three
successful proposals to the EU under the Virtual Campus action line of
the eLearning programme. The eLene Teaching and Learning service Centre currently contains all the outputs from the three successfully completed projects.
The
projects are the result of their efforts in exploring some of the
numerous issues relating to eLearning in higher education, in the
attempt to prepare universities for the ne(x)t generation of students.
